When it comes to recruiting in Illinois one name that's heating up is 6’5 Glenbrook South F Dom Martinelli. The senior is having a special season so far. I caught up with Dom to get a quick update on his recruitment…

JO - How is your recruitment going?
DM - “Recruiting has started to pick up a lot. I have been receiving a lot more interest from all divisions.”

JO - What schools are involved currently?
DM - "I have had tons of new schools get in contact with me. Davidson, Furman, Brown, Dartmouth, New Hampshire and Bryant for D1. Some D2/D3 schools that have been involved with me include Northern Michigan, Lewis, Hillsdale, University of Chicago and St. Thomas.”

JO - What impact could you have for a college team?
DM - “I think that I can play multiple positions on the court. Another impact I make is the ability to score and get to the free throw line. I think I can impact college teams by working hard every day and competing.”

JO - Why should schools get involved in your recruitment?
DM - "I think schools should recruit me because I am a competitor who is looking to get better. I think I can score against bigger and more athletic players, and I will do whatever it takes to help my team win.”

He played with the ALL IN Athletics program during the grassroots travel season.
