CHRISTIAN SHUMATE - 6’5 - SF - BLOOM TOWNSHIP
Shumate is one of the state’s most prolific athletes. His high flying dunks have become something we regularly expect to see every night when we check our Twitter feeds. However, there is more to Christian’s game then the powerful dunks. Shumate is a player who spends more time driving to the rim, his jumper is coming along but with a couple tweaks it will can become as string as his ability to drive the ball. Currently, Shumate is seen as a LM/MM forward, this could change very quickly if he continues to dominate this season. Shumate is the #16 ranked player in the 2020 NY2LA Illinois TOP 40.
WILL WOLFE - 6’6 - SF - OSWEGO EAST
Will Wolfe is one of the most under-appreciated names in Illinois when it comes to recruiting. Wolfe is a physical forward that can play both the three and the four. He is a capable jump shooter that can stretch out the defense and open up driving lanes for teammates. Wolfe is the #24 ranked player in the 2020 NY2LA Illinois TOP 40.
DOMINIC MARTINELLI - 6’5 - SF/PF - GLENBROOK SOUTH
Dominic Martinelli is one of the smartest players in the state. This is what makes him an elite scorer and sent colleges from all levels scrambling to receive Martinelli’s services next year. The Glenbrook South Titan is an undersized PF but makes up for it with his quick hands and feathery touch around the rim. Martinelli continues to show that he can be a dominant force on the offensive and defensive glass during his senior season. Martinelli is the #26 ranked player in the 2020 NY2LA Illinois TOP 40.
DEMARIUS SPLUNGE - 6’5 - SF - ORR
Splunge is a physical forward that hopes to help Orr win their fourth consecutive state title. Splunge is a capable shooter and he fights thru contact at the rim. I think Demarius is going to be a special player at the next level as he has shown the ability to shoot it from deep. Splunge is the #32 ranked player in the 2020 NY2LA Illinois TOP 40.
ARMOND WILLIAMS - 6’8 - PF - EAST ST. LOUIS
Armond Williams is a player that will develop into a nice college player. Williams has a frame that colleges look for. He has long arms and will continue to develop his skillset. He is still pretty raw and scores most of his points in transition. He fights on the block and it will be interesting to see what school he ends up at next season. Williams is the #34 ranked player in the 2020 NY2LA Illinois TOP 40.
