The state of Iowa has seen a number of talented prospects emerge quietly over the years as high caliber prospects and a tandem of brothers at Waukee High School is following in those same footsteps of their predecessors.  As 2021 and 2023 prospects go Payton Sandfort and Pryce Sandfort are front and center in Iowa as two of the very best prospects the state has to offer.

Equipped with a 6-7 220 pound plus frame, Payton has already led the charge in the 2021 class for the state.  The emerging wing has an excellent perimeter stroke, a great frame, instincts on both ends, and the ability to score from each level.  He sees the floor well and he has the ability to impact the game on both ends with and without the basketball in his hands.

On the flip side is his brother Pryce Sandfort, arguably the premiere 2023 prospect in the state.  Equipped with an excellent plus length 6-4 160 pound from, Sandfort is an excellent up and coming lead guard who drips with potential that some feel may surpass that of his older brother.  He has range, handles, vision, instincts, etc. and he’s shown an ability to score from the perimeter and finish at the mid-range level as well.

While schools have already taken notice of Pryce and are projecting him as a high major prospect, his older brother Payton is firmly entrenched as one of the premiere 2021 prospects to track closely this spring and summer.  Already holding offers from Minnesota, Iowa, Drake, Air Force, Utah, and Loyola, the older of the two is also getting solid interest from a host of others including, but not limited to, Colorado, Butler, Stanford, Texas, Belmont, Pepperdine, Illinois, Oklahoma, Princeton, Harvard, Northern Iowa, and LSU.

Make no mistake both can play and each has high major impact potential.  Expect them to continue to trend upward both regionally and nationally as the premiere players for their respective classes in the state of Iowa.

Each will hit the hardwood with the Iowa based Kingdom Hoops program this upcoming spring and summer, which will be competing on the NY2LA Basketball Association circuit platform, the premiere independent grassroots travel circuit in the country.
