While the majority of the top seniors across Illinois have already made their college commitment, one of the top seniors in the state is still available. Jeremiah Williams of Simeon Career Academy in Chicago has a long list of college scholarship offers but still remains uncommitted. The 6’4” wing guard is currently the fifteenth player in the NY2A Illinois 2020 rankings.

Williams long list of offers includes Akron, Detroit-Mercy, Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, South Dakota, Southern Illinois, Valparaiso, Western Michigan, and Wisconsin-Milwaukee. As well some of the other schools that have shown some interest in him this season include Missouri, Oakland, and St. Bonaventure.

“Good support system, good relationship with the staff, home feeling and a chance to impact the program right away,” Williams stated on what he wants in his future college. To date, he has taken a pair of his official visits to Akron and Valparaiso. However, the do it all guard seems to be in no rush to make a commitment as he is looking towards after the high school season to pick his future school.

While Williams is having a strong season playing at Simeon, this is his first year at the school. Over the summer he transferred in after previously attending St. Laurence High School. When asked about the change in schools, the senior commented “the change at Simeon has been great, it has overall made me a better person and player and I’m glad I made the decision.”

Williams recruitment should be intriguing to track in the coming months and see where the senior ends up. He should be able to make a big impact immediately at the mid-major level.
