One of the more sought after available seniors in Wisconsin for division two programs right now is Carter Lancaster of Darlington High School and the Wisconsin Swing. Currently Lancaster holds a pair of scholarship offers coming from Northern State and Upper Iowa. As well there is a long list of schools recruiting him including Bemidji State, Eastern New Mexico, Grand View, Michigan Tech, Minot State, Saint Leo, and others.

There are three schools that Lancaster mentioned on if any stand out to him. “Northern State, Upper Iowa, UW-Platteville are standing out the most,” the 6’3” guard/forward said. However, he added in “They are recruiting me the hardest, but my recruitment is completely open.”

The main things Lancaster is looking for in his future school are “a program with a winning mentality and a family environment.”

The senior is fresh off a trip to Fayette, Iowa to visit Upper Iowa University. “Really good, had a great time with some of the players on the team. They definitely are building something great,” Lancaster commented on the visit.

On Friday, he will be headed back to Iowa for his next visit, this one at Grand View University. Additionally, he said he would like to visit Northern State again as well as visit Bemidji State and Michigan Tech for the first time. Lancaster is hoping to make his college decision around the midpoint of his high school season this winter.
