The class of 2021 in the state of Wisconsin suffered like all other states from COVID-19 so a number of talented prospects remain on the board with colleges of all levels figuring out their needs and trying to find ways to get eyes on various prospects as much as possible.  As the high school season heads into its final stretch, here is a quick look at five talented 2021 prospects in the midst of stellar senior campaigns that are still on the board in Wisconsin…

Note – Listed in alphabetical order - Not an exclusive list

Donald McHenry Jr. – 2021 – PG – MAS (WI)
An electric lead guard with handles, quickness, and an explosive ability to score at multiple levels, McHenry has mid to high major Division 1 ability to score from all levels and dictate the tempo.  Currently averaging close to 37 points a game this season, McHenry is one of the top pure lead guards left on the board in the Midwest and his game has taken substantial steps forward since the summer.

Brandin Podziemski – 2021 – G – St. Johns NW (WI)
A high major 6-6 impact talent that has firmly established himself as a top 50 caliber prospect nationally if not higher, an efficient intelligent talent who fills the box score and leads on both ends, Podziemski holds a handful of high major Division 1 offers with interest coming from a handful of others.  Set to narrow his list down February 25, 2021, Podziemski is averaging 35 ppg, 10 rpg, 6 apg, 5 spg, etc. while shooting close to 62% from the field and 43% from beyond the arc.

Tanner Resch – 2021 – G – Sussex Hamilton (WI)
After losing blue chip senior Patrick Baldwin Jr. to injury early in the season, Hamilton turned to Resch to lead the way and he’s responded with a 28 points per game average while shooting 50% from the field.  A solid catch and shoot marksman from beyond the arc, Resch has solid grades and an ability to knock down the jumper with consistency that should benefit the right coach and system.

Jonah Rindfleisch – 2021 – F – Wisconsin Lutheran (WI)
One of the potential diamonds in the rough for the 2021 class, Rindfleisch has served as a consistently dominant force for Wisconsin Lutheran throughout the season after delivered a quality fall campaign.  Certain players are late bloomers and Rindfleisch fits that description on all levels.  He’s a Division 1 caliber talent with size at close to 6’9 and a game that provides versatility and skill for a school looking for a guy to come in and contribute for four years on and off the court.  He’s averaging close to 14 points a game and almost 10 rebounds a contest while shooting 63% from the field on the season.

Preston Ruedinger – 2021 – G – Lourdes Academy (WI)
An excellent perimeter talent who can score from all levels with consistency, Ruedinger has a legitimate Division 1 caliber jumper and his consistency and efficiency is outstanding as he’s scoring over 26 points a game while shooting 50 percent from the field and 42 percent from beyond the arc.  He’s smart, intelligent with the ball in his hands, and he has the ability to take over the game as his season high of 45 points this season can attest.  He’s a potential steal for the right school in need of a 6’2 guard perimeter shooting specialist.
