All spring and summer on the NY2LA Association, one of the most impressive all-around guards was Kenneth Garth. Garth is a 6’3” senior that played with the World Hoops Elite program and attends Westosha Central High School in Wisconsin.

Tournament after tournament, Garth showed a tremendous ability creating for his teammates. The playmaking guard is a good decision maker with the ball in his hands with tight handle as well to having great court awareness always knowing where to go with the ball. Much more than just a passer, the senior is also a very tough perimeter defender with his athleticism and length. Plus, he can score it getting to the basket and knock down outside jumpers.

Garth has a high skill level and good versatility to be able to play both effectively on and off the ball. With all that he can do the guard earned himself honorable mention honors on the NY2LA Association for this past season. “My summer with World Hoops Elite was good, we played a lot of good teams with some good players and played with them,” Garth said about his experience this summer.

With his abilities Garth has attracted the interest from a variety of college coaches recently. Bemidji State, Carthage, St. Norbert, Valley City State, UW-Platteville are just some of the programs looking at Garth. While he has visited a few of these schools so far, none of the campuses are sticking out but he has liked them all. Even with a wide array of interest, he is still one of the more under the radar seniors in all of Wisconsin. Expect more schools to get involved in his recruitment soon.

There are some academic and basketball aspects that will come into Garth’s decision in selecting a college. He is looking to major in either sports management or exercise and movement science. “Having a good relationship with coaches and the team,” was the main aspect Garth mentioned that he is looking for in his future basketball program.

Before he steps afoot a college campus next year, he is looking to accomplish two major goals during his senior season. Garth is looking to be named first team all-conference as well as win a state championship.
