As well to the five stars on the first team, there is plenty of talent to find here on the second team. Here are the five members that were voted to the NY2LA All-Association 16U second team from this season.

JaKobie Boose – 2024 – G – Michigan Playmakers

Boose was one of the most complete guards on the association, helping his team reach the final four of the loaded Best of the South Tournament as well as the gold championship at The Final Chapter in July. Not only did the bouncy guard score the ball at a high level throughout the season but also showcase his defensive and facilitating ability. There were few players that did as much for their team as Boose did this year.

Eoin Dillon – 2024 – F – MidPro Academy

While just scratching the surface of his potential, Dillon was still one of the top forwards throughout the season at the 16U level. Dillon continued to improve throughout the season, showcasing all his abilities. Even at 6’8”, the athletic forward has a well-rounded game with his ability to not only score inside but knock down outside jumpers and make plays off the dribble.

Jaiquan Holman – 2025 – G – Illinois Predators

Even while playing up a year at the 16U level, Holman was still one of the top players to be included on this second team list. With his tremendous playmaking ability on both ends, Holman led the Predators to several impressive victories during the season. Not only did Holman standout at the 16U level but the 17U level playing up two age groups.

Will Hornseth – 2024 – PF – Wisconsin Blizzard

Even while missing his teams run to the NY2LA Championship during The Final Chapter, Hornseth did enough during the rest of the season to be included on this second team. As one of the most skilled forwards on the association, the 6’8” junior was an incredibly impactful player game after game. He was a key to the Blizzard’s great success during the season. Hornseth has become a popular name amongst division one programs, holding offers from Illinois State, St. Thomas, Toledo, and Wisconsin-Green Bay.

Niko Lucero – 2024 – G – 3D Empire

Over the course of the season, Lucero proved to be one of the top shooters on the entire association. This included a game at the Best of the South where he hit nine threes in a single game in a thirty-three-point performance. Whether it be spotting up from beyond the arc or creating for himself, Lucero is a pure shot maker and proved that in countless games.
