The annual NY2LA Sports Spring Extravaganza tipped off this past weekend in Minnesota and once again the platform provided high caliber exposure for some high caliber prospects.  Here’s a quick look back at a handful of stock boosters from this past weekend…

Note - This is not an exclusive list

Legend Stamps SF, 2019, Inland Empire 17U - still trying to put it together on the offensive end, loads of potential here with Legend, good frame, good athleticism, tons of upside.  When the switch is on Legend is hard to deal with on the offensive end.  Can finish around the rim, can score from the perimeter and handles the ball.  If he can put it together going into July look for big things to happen with his recruitment.

Drew Lutz PG, 2019, MBA Select 17U - love this kids motor, ability to get it done on both ends of the floor.  Smaller guard but plays with an attitude and tough as they come, love his ability to score and get after on the defensive end.  Gives other guards problems because he doesn’t take plays off and gives you 110% every possession.

Payton Dickerson SF, 2019, Blue Chip Nation 17U - shot the ball extremely well from the perimeter this past weekend, does a little bit of everything, good defender, rebounder and plays well around the rim.  Definitely turned a few heads this weekend with his play ability to knock down perimeter shots at his size.

Matthew Mors PF, 2021, South Dakota Attack 16U - big body, big time motor, this kid can play Mors can do a little bit of everything, can stroke it from the perimeter, finish around the basket and defend well on the defensive end and he’s only a freshman.  This kid has a lot of upside and potential, if he continues to play at this level he will definitely make a name for himself.

Dawand Jones PF, 2019 Team Teague 17U - this young man knows how to play basketball, great basketball IQ, plays well around the rim, can finish in traffic around the rim, rebound wells, blocks shots and definitely impacts the game when he’s on the floor.

Wendell Green Jr PG, 2020, Michigan Playmakers 17U - speedy guard that has a lot of intangibles, great basketball IQ, plays hard and impacts the game from the perimeter or breaking guys down off the dribble.

Christian Schumate SF, 2020, IL Lockdown 16U - love his athleticism and motor, does a lot on both sides of the ball.  Plays wells around the rim, grabbing rebounds and getting put backs, has sneaky athleticism and can be explosive when he goes hard.

Isaiah Rivera SG, 2020, Quad City Elite 16U - relentless with the basketball, plays hard, gets to the rim, finishes in traffic, can stroke it from the perimeter and doesn’t take plays off.  Has a nice frame and still working to get better both games I got a chance to see him he looked like a man on a mission to prove he was the best player on the floor.

Evan Anderson PG/SG, 2019, 3D Empire 17U - this kid can shoot the basketball, from anywhere on the court, really good with the ball and making additional things happen.  Plays well with other guys, defends well, nice frame and does a lot of intangibles.

JayShawn Moore SG, 2020, Reach Legends 16U -really good frame and length, like his ability to get into the lane and finish at the rim.  Really good athlete with tremendous upside and ability to play with the basketball in his hands.  Look for him to more and more heads throughout July, Moore has already seen a jump in his recruitment just from his play in April.

Trey Hutchinson SG, 2019, Martin Bros Select 17U - definitely seen his stock rise this past weekend in Minnesota, does a really good job getting to the rim but was lights out from the perimeter at one point shooting 5-5 from the 3 point line.
