There were plenty of intriguing and talented players at the 16U level in Louisville. Here are several that stood out with their impressive play.

Jamiir Allen – 2023 – G – ABC Young Lions
Allen is a quick and lengthy guard that played well on both ends of the floor. He constantly was putting good pressure and getting all over opposing guards. The sophomore scored it well off the dribble attacking but can also spot up for the three.

CJ Barnes – 2023 – C – Team Temple
At 6’10” with a strong build, Barnes is a name to keep an eye on. Even with his great size, he showed good mobility and athleticism. He plays with good energy and really battles in the defensive paint as well as on the boards.

Seth Doss – 2023 – F – Illinois Predators
Doss is a wing forward with good length that scored it well around the paint. He was effective playing with his back to the basket as well as playing face up or from the high post. Doss showed off some good quick moves and can finish in a crowd. He plays with a good motor to defend and rebound well.

Travis Turner – 2023 – PF – Michigan Playmakers
Turner is a strong forward that plays with good energy. He goes incredibly hard to the glass on both ends to rebound at a very level, just outworking opponents to grab them. He scored it effectively in the paint and showed off some good moves playing with his back to the basket but can also play out on the perimeter.

Blake Wilson – 2023 – F – Ball4Lyfe
The sophomore is an active wing forward that was one of the better shooters I saw throughout the tournament. He has deep range on his shot and knocks them down at a very high percentage. The shooter is also a tough perimeter defender.
