One of the fastest rising 2023 prospects in the Midwest this year, Marcus Hall, has made his college commitment. Throughout the spring and summer while playing with the Wisconsin Swing, the 6’7” wing soared up ranking boards and earned himself first team honors on the NY2LA Association.

On Sunday, Hall announced his commitment to Wisconsin-Green Bay. They were his first division one offer back in July.

After entering the spring with no scholarship offers, Hall first picked up several division two offers before then receiving multiple division one offers. He picked Green Bay over his other offers from Concordia St. Paul, Minnesota-Duluth, Purdue Fort Wayne, University of Mary, Winona State, Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Wisconsin-Parkside.

While Hall has continued to receive interest from numerous other division one programs recently, he felt now was the time to make his commitment. “I definitely was hoping that I had made up my mind before the high school season started. After really thinking over the visits, I went on, I really liked Green Bay and even if I would’ve pursued other options, I was confident that I wouldn’t like any of them as much as Green Bay,” Hall said.

The commitment comes after Hall took a visit to Green Bay just a couple weeks ago. “The visit was great. I got to see everything I needed to see to realize that Green Bay is the place that I want to be.”

There were a couple key factors that were the reason for Hall choosing Green Bay. “For one, the coaching staff went about the recruiting process in a great way. They didn’t pressure me at all and genuinely tried to form a relationship with me and my parents. They are also coaches that I could see myself enjoy playing for and ones that can push me to improve. Another reason is the culture that they are building there.”

Hall marks the third commitment for Green Bay’s 2023 class who continue to do a tremendous job recruiting their home state. He joins Cal Klesmit and Mac Wrecke so far in their 2023 recruitment class.
