After a stellar spring and summer with Chapman Basketball Academy, Michael McNabb picked up hist first division one offer. The 6’4” junior guard of Grafton High School (WI) was recently offered by the University of Albany. The offer came on a visit last weekend to the New York school.

“It feels amazing,” McNabb said of picking up the scholarship offer from the America East program. “Seeing everything you work for pay off in front of your eyes. It’s truly a blessing for me to have the opportunity to play at the next level. It feels surreal because it’s something I’ve dreamed of since I was really young.”

When talking about Albany, McNabb said “I love the coaching staff there, amazing people. The campus is awesome, definitely somewhere I could see myself in a few years and I love the culture they’ve built at Albany.”

While Albany may be the lone offer so far, there is a long list of other programs interested in him. Eastern Illinois, North Dakota State, Northern Arizona, South Dakota, St. Thomas, Wisconsin-Green Bay, and Wisconsin-Milwaukee are some others showing interest in him currently.

After a breakout sophomore season in which he averaged 24.3 points per game and was named first team North Shore Conference, McNabb is looking to continue to grow his game and team goals. The main goal the junior is looking to accomplish in the upcoming high school season is help Grafton capture a conference championship. On a personal level, he strives to win conference player of the year as well as make the all-state team.
