After last season in which he won conference player of the year as a sophomore at Homestead High School (WI) and then had an equally impressive spring and summer with Chapman Basketball Academy, Franks has seen his recruitment take off. The 6’5” shooting guard received his first division one offer in June and has pulled in a few more since then.

Bradley was his first offer, Albany and Wisconsin-Green Bay joined in and offered in October, with most recently Northern Arizona offering on Monday. Franks has already taken visits to all these schools that have offered him in addition to St. Thomas. “I’ve enjoyed all of them,” he said about his visits. “Every coaching staff I’ve interacted with has been great.”

When speaking about the four schools that have offered him, Franks said that he loves them all. “All the coaches have been so kind to me and I’m so grateful for the opportunities I am able to have because of this sport. At the end of the day, I want to go to the place that is going to fit me the best and the place that I am going to have the best opportunity to grow as a basketball player and a person.”

Recently, Franks was included in the top ten of the NY2LA 2024 Wisconsin rankings. He has a lot of tools for the next level with his size in the backcourt and shot making ability. In his upcoming junior season, Franks has his team goals set high looking to not only win a conference title but as well as a state title. Look for his recruitment to continue to grow this season with all his tools.
