Over the past year the game of Max Lucey has only greatly improved, this includes him being off to a big start for his senior season at Cuba City High School (WI). After averaging 14.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game for Cuba City last season as a junior for a 24-3 team, his game has only greatly gone up from there.

Throughout the spring and summer, Lucey was a consistent and key piece of one of the top teams on the NY2LA Association in the Wisconsin Swing. All grassroots season the high IQ 6’4” combo guard was an impactful player with his perimeter shooting and versatility contributing in so many ways to help them win games.

In the very young high school season, Lucey has already made a huge splash. In the first two games of the season, Lucey is nearly doubled his scoring average from last season scoring 28 points per game to go along with 11 rebounds and 6 assists.

One of the schools showing the most interest in Lucey which he recently visited this fall is Wisconsin-Platteville. “It was good. I really like the coaching staff and the players there,” he said about his visit.

After a regional final’s appearance last season, Lucey is hoping to take the next step in winning a state championship to finish off his high school career. If his game continues to improve as it has over the past year, Lucey could be a steal at the next level.
