From a highly talented 2027 Next Level Grind Elite team, one player that showed great potential is Donovan Davis of Freedom, Wisconsin. While he still has nearly a year before he reaches high school, the forward has great size at 6’3” and plenty of additional tools to his game.

At the recent Generation Next Tip-off Tournament, Davis was named to the all-tournament team at the 14U level. With Davis, as well as Logan Ramczyk, Alex Krause, Will Verkuilen, and others, the dominant Next Level Grind Elite squad was able to capture the 14U championship amongst a very strong field of teams from around the region. Davis was one of the most consistent and impactful players of the entire tournament.

As well to his great potential, Davis is already a very skilled player on both ends of the floor. He has a nice blend of size, length, agility, and skills. He can be a dominant player down in the paint on both ends but moves so well for his size to be able to do so much more. Offensively, Davis has a versatile skill set. He is a true back to the basket scorer that can finish strong through defenders or right over them. Though he can also spot up from the outside plus put the ball on the floor. Defensively, Davis can shut down the paint but with his athleticism can match up with multiple positions extremely well and defend out on the perimeter. With his great range of tools and size, Davis is a player to track as he moves into the high school ranks next year.
