After a strong grassroots season with the Wisconsin Swing, Brock Massey has now taken his game to another level in his junior season at Mauston High School. While it’s still early in the year, the 6’4” two guard has been of the top scorers in all of Wisconsin.

While Massey had an impressive sophomore year averaging 19.4 points per game on his way to first team all-conference honors, his game has been on another level this season. When asked about the growth of his game, Massey mentioned his time in the weight room getting stronger and spending plenty of time in the gym working on his game. He focused on improving his jump shot and ability to score from all three levels as well as “I’ve worked hard to be a great on ball and off ball defender,” Massey said. “It’s just been a lot of hard work, physically growing another couple inches and trying to become a complete offensive player.”

On the season so far, Massey is averaging a whopping 32.6 points per game. As well to his scoring production, the junior is also leading his team in rebounds and assists with 7.2 and 4.0 respectively. He is also second on the team with 2.2 steals per game. This includes a 44-point outburst this season.

“I like to think of myself as a complete player. I can score from multiple levels, defend, rebound, and pass. I also like to think of myself as a high IQ basketball player. I’m a student of the game and I love to watch other players and games when we’re not playing at tournaments,” Massey said to describe his own game.

If Massey continues his scoring spree and overall high level of play, look for his recruitment to take off.
