With the always loaded Swish N’ Dish there was plenty of talent in attendance from across the region. Here is part one of the top performers from the tournament I saw over the three days.

Anthony Ball – 2023 – SF – George Hill All Indy Unsigned

A physical wing forward who is a stat stuffer and can do so much on the floor. Ball scored it going strong on the attack getting all the way to the rim often as well to pulling up in the mid-range. Though that is just the start of what he can do as he also contributes greatly with his rebounding and tough versatile defensive play. Ball has a nice blend of strength and agility.

George Bellevue – 2023 – G/F – Greater Purpose Athletics

Bellevue was one of a few players from this GPA team that impressed throughout the weekend helping them to advance to the championship game of the gold bracket. A very impactful player with his versatility and scoring ability, going for 23-points in a single game. The 6’5” unsigned senior has a nice combination of strength and skills that allows him to do so much. An aggressive scorer who got it done going strong to the basket battling through contact in addition to pulling up in the mid-range.

Markus Blackwell - 2025 - G - REACH Legends

Even while playing up an age group, Blackwell proved to be one of the more complete guards at the 17U level. He is a skilled and high IQ player that stands at 6'2" with some strength and can do just about anything on the floor While he can run the point and facilitate the basketball, he is also an extremely skilled scorer having a thirty-point game getting it done from all three levels.

Tayshawn Bridges – 2024 – G – Mac Irvin Fire

One of several players from this Fire 17U team that won the platinum championship that had big weekends. Bridges had a a few big games including a phenomenal performance in the quarterfinals Sunday morning with a 23-point comeback victory. He is one of the most explosive guards in the country who has a great ability to get to the rim and finish as well to being able to create his own shot but also impacted games with his tough on ball defensive play. There are few players with his combination of talents.

Dekwon Brown – 2024 – PG – Denard Bros.

One of the top point guards of the tournament having himself multiple big games. This included a 27-point game on Saturday while hitting seven threes. Not only is Brown a knockdown shooter from the outside but he also plays so well off the dribble getting into the paint creating for himself and teammates. He has a great array of point guard tools with his shooting ability that should make him a highly recruited player in the coming weeks.

Sabien Cain – 2024 – G – EG10

There are so many different aspects to like about Cain’s game. He is highly skilled and physical 6’3” guard with good strength. A real contributor on both ends of the floor with his tough defensive play. Offensively, he plays so well with the ball in his hands as can create his own shot from the outside but also create for his teammates very effectively too. Whether it was off the dribble or catch, Cain shot the ball at a high percentage. One of the top 2024 guards in Indiana.

Gianni Cobb – 2024 – PG – Team Rose

One a few highly talented point guards at the 17U level of the Swish N’ Dish. With his quickness, moves, and vision, he excels playing on the attack. All weekend he was continuously getting into the paint and creating. He scored the ball extremely well all around the paint on his drives finishing at a high rate but also distributed it well too. A good and quick decision maker on his drives.

Cade Courbat – 2024 – F – Martin Brothers

A very intriguing forward with all he can do on the floor plus his great energy, agility, and size at 6’8”. He scored the ball running the floor hard in the transition game as well as in the paint. A versatile forward though as he can also attack the basket and spot up for threes. As a forward of his size, he has a great combination of abilities. A junior that could see his stock soar in the coming months.

Jaxson Davis – 2027 – PG – Illinois Central Elite

For a couple years now, Davis has been a dominant player, but now he doing it at the 17U level. Even while just in the 2027 class, the guard is still such an impactful player while moved up multiple levels having himself a 21-point game. He has such a well-rounded game as he can be such an impactful player on both ends of the floor with his aggressive perimeter defense, outside shooting, passing, and playmaking off the dribble.

Ty Fernholz – 2024 – SG – Wisconsin Blizzard

Last year’s NY2LA 16U Association MVP had one of the top scoring performances of the tournament with a 26-point performance in a quarterfinals game. In the win, the knockdown shooter hit a staggering seven threes. He has pure form on his jumper with deep range but is more than just a shooter with his well-rounded game. He holds an offer from Michigan Tech and would expect that list to multiply soon.
