2024 6’2 Tyler Mason - MidPro Academy 17U NY2LA
Tyler Mason was one of the biggest stock boosters of the weekend at Swish N Dish. Mason is a combo guard who can initiate offense or play off the ball as a scorer. He has a quick release from deep and can break games open when he gets hot on the perimeter. Mason is a sneaky athlete and had a big time dunk on Friday night as well as a couple of impressive blocks. He does a great job of keeping his eyes up and seeing the floor, and made some nice kick ahead passes for easy buckets in transition.
2024 6’6 Kon Knueppel - Phenom University 17U EYBL
Kon Knueppel is an elite shooter who makes the game look easy at times. He has a solid weekend for Phenom U, highlighted by a 20 point first half on Saturday morning. Knueppel has a pure jumper and is a player you cannot leave open. He also showed some ability to create space off the dribble with side steps and step backs to get his shot off on the perimeter. Maybe the most underrated part of his game is his IQ and passing ability, and he spent time as the primary ball handler and initiator for Phenom U as well.
2024 6’2 Tayshawn Bridges - Mac Irvin Fire 17U EYCL
Bridges was a key part of Mac Irvin 17U run to the platinum championship. His most impressive game of the weekend came Sunday morning vs MidPro as Bridges had 23 points to carry his team in a hard fought comeback win. Bridges has an elite first step to get by defenders and uses his athleticism to finish at the rim. He was locked in defensively picking up full court and had a handful of steals leading to transition buckets.
2024 6’4 Michael McNabb - Chapman Academy 17U NY2LA
Michael McNabb had a big opening game on Friday night vs MidPro Academy, and continued to put up good scoring numbers throughout the weekend. A 6’4 lefty wing, McNabb is very crafty getting to the rim and has great footwork to slide by defenders using euro steps and pivots around the basket. He also flashed some playmaking ability, drawing help on his drives and finding shooters for easy looks.
2024 6’3 Luke Kinkade - Breakaway 17U UA Rise
Luke Kinkade was a major part of Breakaway 17U’s big weekend at Swish N Dish. Kinkade is a knockdown shooter with range and exploded for 6 threes in the championship game on Sunday vs Mac Irvin. He does a good job of moving without the ball and relocating to open areas when his defender helped off of him, and has good footwork coming off screens and getting into his shot efficiently.
2024 6’5 Cole Certa - Illinois Wolves 17U UAA
Cole Certa is a talented guard who can fill it up in a hurry and has good size on the wing at 6’5. He can score from all 3 levels with range on his jumper and a nice midrange game when defenders run him off the line. Certa doesn’t force many shots and knows how to get good looks within the flow of the game. He should have a big year on the UAA circuit with the Wolves 17U group.
2024 6’2 Ty Fernholz - Wisconsin Blizzard 17U NY2LA
Ty Fernholz is a tough combo guard who can really shoot it. As part of a balanced and talented Blizzard 17U group, Fernholz knows when to facilitate and when to hunt his shot. He went off for 7 threes in a 26 point performance on Sunday and can take over games when needed. Fernholz is a smart and strong defender with good lateral quickness to keep ball handlers in front on the perimeter.
