Plenty of players making a name for themselves over the weekend. A lot of players below to keep an eye on as the move on to the high school ranks.
Jackson Moad – 2027 – SF – Team Ramey
Moad started the tournament in a big way with a 22-point game. He is a high percentage knockdown shooter from the outside but also has a well-rounded game. The 6’0” wing can also handle the ball and make plays off the dribble, battle down in the paint, and plays with good defensive energy.
Trey Resch – 2027 – G – Chapman Basketball Academy
A skilled guard who has only continued to get better over the past year. He scored the ball efficiently all tournament apart of a deep CBA team and stepped up his game when it mattered most in the championship game. In the first half alone, he knocked down four threes going for 16 points. He has great form on his jumper but also plays smart with the ball in his hands and can create off the dribble.
Jayden Phillips – 2027 – PG – Wisconsin Swish
Phillips is a skilled point guard who excels making plays off the dribble. He has good point guard skills but also has a good versatile scoring ability. A good decision maker who reads the floor well on the attack, finding open teammates but also finishing around the paint plus hit shots off the dribble from the outside.
Crayton Schnierle – 2027 – G – MidPro Academy
Schnierle is a well-rounded 6’0” wing guard who is an impactful player on both ends of the floor. A tough defender playing with plenty of energy who can match up with guards and wings. Offensively, he moves well with the ball in his hands attacking the basket hard but also spotting up for outside shots.
Alexander Sirbu – 2027 – F – All In
The young forward already has plenty of size standing at 6’5” with good length but still has good mobility. He has some emerging skills being able to handle the ball out on the perimeter but was also effective playing in the mid and low post. A high upside forward to track.
Edvardas Stasys – 2027 – PF – M14 Hoops
Stasys has been a skilled forward for a couple years now but as he continues to grow, now at 6’3”, there is plenty to like from his game. As well to using his size effectively in the paint on both ends of the floor, he has a smooth jump shot with the ability to hit them off the dribble plus attack the basket.
McKhale Wesley – 2027 – PG – Team Haliburton
Along with Ed Bullock, Wesley formed a tremendous backcourt to be a big reason why Team Haliburton advanced into the 17U quarterfinals amongst a very strong 14U field. He plays strong with the ball in his hands and was getting plenty of paint touches with his moves and burst of quickness. A real playmaker that has a good knack to finish around the paint but also create for his teammates.
Mikey White – 2027 – PG – Team Herro
The playmaking point guard started the tournament with a 16-pont performance. He can impact the game in a variety of ways with his knockdown outside shooting, ability to create for teammates, and on-ball defensive play. A quick and active defender that was getting all over the ball.
