The 2022 class in Wisconsin continues to talented prospects emerge and/or take the next step.  Despite the obstacles COVID-19 has presented, a number of talented juniors have utilized this opportunity to keep playing and they’ve opened some eyes in the process.  2022 G Marcus Tomashek of Ashwaubenon (WI) is one that’s making his presence felt.

Equipped with a plus length 6-4 frame, Tomashek is a blend of skill, instincts, and upside and the talented guard is off to a strong start during the first couple of months of the season.  Averaging over 20 points a contest, Tomashek has shown an ability to score with consistency from all three levels and he’s equipped with a solid smooth perimeter stroke that can be made from anywhere on the court in both half court sets and the open floor.  He sees the floor well, has shown an ability to handle it well, he makes solid decisions, and he can fill the box score.  As 2022 prospects go he’s one of the bigger sleepers in the state but his performance this season continues to put him front and center as one to watch closely in the class.

With the 2021 class still rounding out for most schools the 2022 class is on-deck to take their place front and center whenever things get back to normal.  With that being said expect to see and hear more and more of Marcus Tomashek as he’s trending up and he’s primed to make a solid push for serious Division 1 and high Division 2 attention with his continued growth and development over the next 8-12 months.

He competes with the JH1 Elite program during the grassroots travel season.
