In his breakout junior campaign, 6’4” guard Marcus Tomashek of Ashwaubenon High School (WI) picked up his first scholarship offer. The offer came from Michigan Tech University and head coach Kevin Luke.

After averaging 12.7 point per game last season as a sophomore, Tomashek is currently scoring 22.2 points per game this season to have led Ashwaubenon to a 11-5 record right now.

“I’m very excited and grateful for this opportunity,” the junior commented on receiving his first offer. The offer comes for Tomashek after he visited the Houghton campus on Michigan’s upper peninsula this past fall.

When asked about how his time went there, he said “visit went very good, I liked the campus and the small town around it.”  He added in “I like the academics and basketball program. I also like the connection I have made with the coaching staff.”

Tomashek is a skilled scorer who shoots the ball from the perimeter at a high percentage. He also has the ability to create his own shot off the dribble and get to the basket. As well, he has some size in the back court at 6’4” with good length. Tomashek plays with the JH1 Elite program.
