Rickey Bradley Jr (Eduprize HS, Gilbert, AZ) moved to Arizona from Milwaukee before this season and has been playing on the Grind Session circuit, currently averaging 17 points 7 rebounds 5 assists and 2 steals per game.

A strong quick 6'3 guard, Bradley can get to the rim and finish through contact and excels in the open floor. He is a plus defender with a competitive edge, and has shown a steady improvement in his jumper over the last year. Bradley checks a lot of boxes physically that should translate to the college level and his growth in skill set shows promise as a big time sleeper.

NY2LA Sports caught up with Bradley to discuss his season, get an update on his recruitment and a potential reclass to 2022.

How has the transition been from Milwaukee to Arizona?
“The transition from Milwaukee to Arizona has been smooth. The main difference is you have to show up every night. It isn't as easy because when I went to King I played with those players for most of my life, and when I came out here everyone was brand new to each other so the chemistry wasn’t there at first”.

How has your season been going?
“The season has been going good, we have a winning record. We lost a few games that we feel we shouldn’t have. I’m loving the experience of playing in the Grind Session against some of the bigger names in the country.”

Describe your game in 3 words?
“I look at my game as being a winner, patient, and a high IQ player”

Have you made a decision on whether to reclass to 2022?
“I am 100% going to reclass as of right now. The main reason being coming from Milwaukee to Arizona some of my credits didn’t transfer. I also feel like I am one of the top guards in the country so I believe another year will help my recruitment. And I'm with my cousin Devontes Cobbs so I get to stay another year with him and grind together for our goals.”

What are your personal goals?
“As far as my personal goals, my biggest one is to show the world that I am a top player in the country and that my game can translate anywhere. I hope that my recruitment picks up so that I have options to see where my game will best fit and help me reach my ultimate goal of playing in the NBA. Staying another year in high school I have goals of being invited to events like the McDonalds Game, Jordan Brand Classic, Slam Summer Classic and Team USA camp.”

What are your team goals?
"Right now as far as team goals I hope that we continue to show that we can play with anyone in the country. This is the first year of Eduprize being on the Grind Session and I feel as if we have created some buzz and shocked a lot of people by beating some of the top ranked teams."

What school have you been talking to the most?
“Recently I have been hearing from Miles, Trinidad State, Grambling St, Tennessee State and my coach has been hearing from NAU, UKMC, Northern Colorado, Princeton, Fresno St and Boise St.”
