While just a sophomore, Mac Wrecke is showing that he is one of the top scorers in all of Wisconsin, regardless of class. In his most recent game, Wrecke scored 40 points to lead Arrowhead High School to a victory. With the 40-point performance, the 6’5” sophomore has raised his scoring average all the way up to 23.5 points per game. The big sophomore season is coming after a strong summer playing with Phenom University.

After a slow 2-5 start to the season, the emergence of Wrecke has allowed Arrowhead to get their season back on track. Even with the slow start, Wrecke and Arrowhead have turned their record around to 12-7. For this year the sophomore is looking to make an impact in the post season and win their first game.

When speaking about his career game, Wrecke said “putting up 40 points felt incredible. I didn’t know I scored that much until after the game and it was such a good feeling knowing it helped us win.” Wrecke totaled 40 points by hitting five three-pointers and shooting 50% in the game.

Wrecke is a well-built 6’5” wing. He is at his best attacking the basket strongly and has a very good ability to finish through contact around the basket. Even while shooting nearly 40% from beyond the arc this season, the main thing Wrecke wants to improve upon is his shooting. He also mentioned that he would like to to improve his ball handling ability.

While it is still early in Wrecke’s recruitment as a sophomore, but expect it heat up once coaches can see him in person as he is one of the top sophomores in Wisconsin as well as the Midwest.
