For college programs looking for a skilled point guard in the 2023 class, Jamisen Young is one to see. Throughout the spring and summer while playing with World Hoops Elite, Young was one of the top distributors on the NY2LA Association to earn himself honorable mention honors at the 16U level.

The junior is a dynamic playmaking point guard that is at his best getting into the paint and creating for his teammates. Young moves extremely well with the ball in his hands and is very difficult to stay in front of. He has a great ability to get wherever he wants on the floor while seeing the floor so well on the move. He is a smart decision maker with the ball that is always knows where to go with the ball.

In the right college system Young could shine and help a program win plenty of games. With all his abilities he has started to attract interest of colleges on multiple levels. Carthage, Colgate, North Dakota State, Winona State, and Wisconsin-Milwaukee are the colleges showing the most interest in him right now.

To date, Young has visited a few of these schools. When asked about what he has liked on the visits he has taken, he said “I’ve visited NDSU and I really loved the way the school was set up…I also visited Carthage and I love the area the school was in.”

Young is expecting big things for his upcoming junior season at Kenosha Bradford High School in Wisconsin. “This high school season we should be the best team in the city and if we keep building chemistry and working hard, we could have a chance at going to state and winning.”
