One of the higher upside players in Wisconsin’s 2024 class is Sekou Konneh. Up until Tuesday, the 6’8” forward of St. Thomas More High School and Power 5 did not hold a scholarship offer. That all changed when Bart Lundy and Wisconsin-Milwaukee offered Konneh a scholarship.

“It feels amazing to receive an offer from your hometown school,” Konneh said about receiving the offer from the Panthers. As well to the Milwaukee offer, Eastern Kentucky, Iowa State, Kent State, Marquette, and Wisconsin have all shown interest.

While he doesn’t have any other offers, that is just motivation for Konneh. “That just means I got to work harder,” Konneh said about current state of his recruitment.  With the upcoming July live periods, look for Konneh to be a popular name amongst college programs.

In his sophomore season, Konneh averaged 12.7 points and a team high 8.7 rebounds per game to help St. Thomas More to a 25-4 record. He followed that up with a very impressive spring with Power 5. At 6’8” with his length, athleticism, and developing versatile skill set, the rising junior has an incredibly high ceiling. There are few forwards in the 2024 class in the region with all of his tools.
